Your piece is made from solid 14K gold. With a little care, it will keep its warm glow for generations.
- Clean gently with warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap, using a soft brush kept just for jewelry. Rinse in a bowl of clean water, then dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Keep it away from chlorine, bleach and household cleaners, which can damage gold. Take it off before swimming in a pool or hot tub and before cleaning around the house.
- Skip toothpaste and metal polishes. Their abrasives can scratch gold.
- Gold is a soft metal, so store each piece on its own, in its pouch or box, so it doesn't rub against other jewelry.
- Put your jewelry on last, after perfume, lotion or hairspray.
- If your piece is set with stones, avoid ultrasonic cleaners at home and have a jeweler check the setting from time to time.
